German airport –is a large flat area at an altitude of 2900 m, through which the rise runs to the north shelter and to Elbrus.
There is a 1000 m on the line (we measured it), so that some aircrafts can actually sit down there. Local elders say that they saw some German aircrafts during the war there, one of which brought the Tibetan lamas who were murdered later on Hitler's order. |
